Position:
Laboratory Technology/Testing – Soils, Asphalt, Aggregates, and Concrete

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic laboratory tests on soils, aggregates, masonry, asphalt and prepare reports of results
  • Maintain a log of all samples
  • Apply basic mathematical formulas and concepts to calculate quantities, estimate volumes, and inspect constructed work
  • Enter test results into a web‑based computer program
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, engineers and technicians regarding construction laboratory testing
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • No experience required; 1+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • ACI Level I Concrete, state DOT, or ICC certifications in concrete highly preferred
  • Ability to multi‑task and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams to achieve goals
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license and good‑standing driving record
  • Some travel will be required
  • Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre‑employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record
