Hallmark Field Merchandiser; part-time Fredericksburg, VA

Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organizational and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support teammates with seasonal resets and installations when needed.

• Starting hourly pay rate: $14.00 – $16.00, depending on skills and experience.
• Weekly hours: 7 – 10 hours on a variable schedule.
• Availability required before and after major holidays, including weekends.
• Season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support may require additional hours.
• Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
• Part‑time employees have access to voluntary benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.).
• Part‑time employees with less than 30 hours per week are eligible for voluntary benefits including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage (preventive care).

• Day‑to‑day engagement:
  Use Hallmark‑provided mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor inventory in Hallmark and adjacent departments. Communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys.
• Holiday support:
  Augment hours around major holidays (Valentine’s, Easter, Mother’s, Father’s, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas). May work on the holidays themselves, including weekends.
• Department resets:
  Assist in installations, fixture building, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Receive two‑week advance notice for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
• Team collaboration:
  Support teammates across territories as needed.

Requires a high level of energy and urgency. Must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. Must kneel, squat, walk, and stand, and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Read, write, and understand English.
• Can grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to operate a digital handheld device to open documents and interpret information.
• Has Wi‑Fi access and internet connectivity.
• Has reliable transportation to travel to assigned stores as scheduled.
