Account Manager – Personal Lines (Fredericksburg, VA)

We are seeking an Account Manager to service personal insurance accounts and drive new business for the Personal Lines team.

• Review and analyze personal accounts for coverage, limits, etc., and make appropriate recommendations to clients.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure service needs are met.
• Develop new business from existing accounts and assigned leads to contribute to departmental production goals.
• Gather information from clients and prepare applications regarding new and/or renewal coverage.
• Prepare policy quotes based on client needs, rates, and coverages.
• Prepare all transactions for assigned accounts, including applications, invoices, and forms.
• Maintain accuracy of data in the agency management system.
• Handle collections of premiums due (if needed).
• Conduct business with understanding of business and earnings implications.
• Keep informed of industry changes and trends to anticipate and respond to profit objectives.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Manager.

• Experience servicing personal accounts within an insurance agency.
• Thorough knowledge of personal lines coverages and markets.
• Experience with an electronic agency management system.
• Active Property & Casualty Insurance license.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Expected salary range: $25.00/hr to $30.00/hr, based on skills, experience, and location.
