Job Description Summary

Sunbelt Rentals is looking for a Mechanic who performs preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime. You will work on a variety of equipment including Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and specialty lines such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment.

This mechanic/technician role performs preventive maintenance, performs diagnostics and makes repairs on equipment in the safest and most effective way possible to avoid downtime.

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired
• 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred

• May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs.

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.

Base Pay Range: $24.58 - 33.80;
Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
