Field Service Technician

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose, and make advanced repairs at customer locations in a safe and effective manner to avoid downtime.

• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose equipment issues.
• Make advanced repairs.

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 1-2 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment). Strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations).

• Might need to provide mechanic’s tools of trade.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-pace environment.
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs.

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.

Base pay range: $24.58 – $33.80 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.

Eligible for benefits beginning the first of the month following 30 days of service. Paid time off includes (subject to Sunbelt policies): 12-25 vacation days depending on years of service, 5 sick days, 6 holidays, 2 half-day holidays, 2 floating holidays, 1 inclusion day, 1 volunteer day.
