Driver-Class B CDL

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and deliver material to customer sites using a delivery vehicle and/or trailer combination.
• Operate a CDL driver vehicle weighing 26,000 lbs. or greater GVWR or the same weight vehicle towing a trailer less than 10,000 lbs.
• Assist customers with unloading material safely and accurately, protecting product and customer property.
• Use a hand‑held device (except while driving) to ensure compliance with DVIR and HOS.
• Verify order details and maintain logs of deliveries, including amounts, weights, mileage, and locations. Check items against invoices to ensure accuracy.
• Act as a customer service liaison, addressing concerns and resolving issues as they arise.
• Maintain service logs and conduct pre/post‑trip inspection procedures.

High school diploma or GED, 21+ years of age, valid Class B CDL license, at least one year of driving experience (CDL preferred). Must pass an MVR report and obtain a DOT medical card within five days of request. Must have less than five moving violations in the last five years. Forklift certification required.

• Knowledge of safety procedures for driving and material handling.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand maps, routes, and road signs.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out route assignments.
• Basic math and measurement skills.

• Work performed in a production environment with temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels, and dust.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds frequently and may be required to lift up to 200 pounds with assistance.
• Must physically operate crane equipment, including climbing in and out of cab or on truck, twisting torso for 360° visibility, and operating controls.
