Our client is hiring CDL-A drivers for a dedicated local grocery account with loads originating in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Freight on this fleet is grocery, driver load and unload with electric pallet jack, running Virginia and Maryland. This is a home-daily position, so you sleep in your own bed every night. It suits drivers who want the earnings of a dedicated account without the time away from home.

Average earnings on this account run $1,671 per week, approximately $86,892 annualized.

You will operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and legally at all times, completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitoring your hours of service, and keeping your logs accurate and current in accordance with federal regulations and company policy. You will transport freight on schedule across Virginia and Maryland, following assigned routes, planning fuel and rest stops sensibly, and communicating proactively with your fleet manager when weather, traffic, or a customer delay puts a delivery window vers average 1,300 miles per week.

Drivers load and unload their own trailers using an electric pallet jack and reload returns back to the distribution center. This is active work and suits drivers who prefer to stay moving. Freight handling is part of this role rather than an occasional extra. You will represent our client professionally at every customer location, maintain the condition and cleanliness of your assigned equipment, and report mechanical issues promptly so they are addressed before they become a breakdown.

A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License is required, along with a minimum of 3 months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience. You must meet all Department of Transportation qualification requirements and hold a current DOT medical certification. An acceptable motor vehicle record and safety history are required. You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with all federal testing requirements throughout your employment.

The role requires the physical capability to perform the freight handling described above, including repeated lifting, climbing in and out of the trailer, and sustained activity across a full shift. Average earnings on this account are $1,671 per week, approximately $86,892 annualized. Pay is made up of:
Cents-per-mile;
Load and stop pay. Home time:
Home daily. Home daily with two consecutive days off per week on a five-day schedule that includes weekends. Currently hiring day shift with 07:00 start times. Equipment: automatic transmission trucks pulling 53' trailers. There are currently 8 openings on this fleet. We place drivers directly with the fleets we represent, and we stay with you through the process — application, orientation scheduling, and the first weeks on the account.
