Matern Staffing is hiring a Procurement Specialist – Telecom/ISP (Job ) for a telecommunications consulting firm in Fredericksburg, VA. In this role, you’ll support ISP infrastructure projects by managing warehouse operations, tracking inventory, and coordinating material movement. Using your knowledge of telecommunications materials, the Procurement Specialist – Telecom/ISP ensures cables, connectors, racks, and related equipment are accurately tracked, stored, and ready for deployment.

This direct hire position is ideal for someone comfortable with computer-based inventory systems and experienced in ISP infrastructure materials who is looking to expand their expertise through ongoing training and career growth opportunities.

• Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, unloading, organizing, and staging materials
• Maintain accurate inventory records and transition tracking from spreadsheets to Quick Books
• Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy and material availability
• Organize warehouse layout to improve efficiency and material flow
• Transport materials to other company locations using company vehicles
• Support field teams by preparing materials for installations and assisting with procurement as trained

• Expert knowledge of ISP infrastructure materials (cables, connectors, racks, and related components)
• Strong computer skills with the ability to manage inventory systems (Quick Books, Excel preferred)
• Experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling
• Ability to safely lift, move, and organize materials; valid driver’s license required
• Forklift/lift certification a plus (training available)
• Detail-oriented, organized, and willing to learn procurement and purchasing processes
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and driving record check
