Job DescriptionPay: $49.00 - $59.00 per hour DOE
Location: Virtual/Remote within a reasonable commute (up to 60 miles) of Charlotte, NC;
Raleigh, NC; or one of six regional nuclear facilities
Position Summary: This intermediate-level Inventory Analyst role is designed for professionals who are ready to take on complex inventory challenges with increasing independence. The position focuses on managing all aspects of inventory to support business unit requirements and standards. Employees will develop advanced skills in inventory management, analysis, and process improvement while contributing to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Manage inventory functions, including material replenishment, stocking levels, catalog maintenance, new item setup, purchase requisitions, cost avoidance, and inventory reduction.
- Evaluate material requests and stocking levels to optimize inventory while supporting plant and business unit schedules.
- Collaborate with internal teams to validate material needs, identify procurement or material‑sharing opportunities, and optimize inventory decisions.
- Apply advanced understanding of upstream and downstream processes impacting inventory.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, business standards, and accounting practices for materials and supplies.
- Generate and manage daily, monthly, and quarterly inventory reports and metrics.
- Develop proficiency in inventory management procedures and tools to support business operations effectively.
- Support safety culture and continuously seek operational improvements.
- Previous experience in inventory management or procurement
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced analytical, problem‑solving, and customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience with Asset Suite, Maximo, or other supply chain management systems
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and driven to learn
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
