Non-product procurement plays a critical role in keeping ANBL and CNB operating effectively and compliantly, sourcing goods, services, and construction through structured public‑sector procurement processes. The Procurement Coordinator possesses comprehensive subject matter expertise for contract administration and public procurement practices, including a thorough understanding of associated business processes, and applicable legislative and regulatory considerations. This role is also responsible for providing timely business and customer support in all areas of accountability.
PublicProcurement Environment
As Crown corporations, ANBL and CNB operate within a regulated procurement environment and must comply with the New Brunswick Procurement Act and associated policies, as well as applicable interprovincial and international trade agreements (e.g., CFTA, CETA). Procurement activities must be conducted with a focus on fairness, transparency, open competition, and value for money.
Additional Responsibilities- Support in Strategic Procurement Initiatives :
Supports in executing strategic procurement initiatives and identifying opportunities and lessons learned for continuous improvement. - Compliance Support :
Maintains comprehensive subject matter expertise on public procurement practices, ensuring all procurement transactions are complete, reliable, and compliant with applicable legislation and best practices. Monitors general mailbox, responds to questions, and ensures requests or inquiries are dealt with as promptly. The Procurement Coordinator supports procurement activities in a manner that ensures fairness, transparency, open competition, and value for money, while maintaining compliance with all legislative, regulatory, and trade agreement requirements.
