We are currently seeking a Senior Event Coordinator to join our Marketing team. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of a wide range of corporate events and meetings, while providing operational and administrative support to the Events team. The Senior Event Coordinator will play a key role in delivering high-quality in-person, virtual, and hybrid programs that support the business objectives and strategic initiatives of CI Global Asset Management, CI Assante Wealth Management, CI Private Wealth, Corient, and their affiliated business units.
This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can independently manage multiple projects, collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and ensure seamless event execution. Key responsibilities include event planning and logistics management, registration and attendee communications, budget tracking, vendor coordination, onsite event support, and maintaining event-related systems and processes. The successful candidate will be expected to proactively manage project timelines, identify solutions to challenges, and ensure that all events are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
This position reports directly to the Vice President, Event Marketing and works closely with internal partners across Marketing, Sales, and business leadership teams.
- Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, registration, logistics, and attendee communications.
- Coordinate vendors, venues, catering, audio-visual requirements, transportation, signage, shipping, and other event-related services.
- Serve as a primary liaison for internal stakeholders, vendors, and event partners, ensuring a seamless event experience.
- Monitor project progress, manage event details, and proactively resolve issues to ensure successful execution.
- Provide onsite event support, including coordination of suppliers, event logistics, and attendee experience.
- Manage post-event activities, including surveys, reporting, budget reconciliation, invoice processing, and recommendations for future improvements.
- Maintain event documentation, systems, and processes to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- 4+ years of experience in event planning, event marketing, meeting management, or a related field.
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple events and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of event planning principles, logistics management, budget tracking, and attendee engagement best practices.
- Experience with event management and registration platforms such as Cvent or similar event technologies.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and exercise sound judgment in a dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes, develop solutions, and drive continuous process improvement.
- Positive, proactive team player with a collaborative and flexible approach.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered a strong asset.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $71,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program.
