We are seeking a Securities Settlements Administrator to join our growing Settlements team under CI Investments wealth management operations sector. The successful candidate will support day‑to‑day physical/OTC settlement including exchange traded security activities placed on behalf of our clients.
Responsibilities- Respond to inquiries related to trade settlements, corporate actions, and entitlements such as discrepancies, delays, or failed transactions.
- Ensure all trades are settled timely and within regulatory guidelines (CNS and BTB).
- Issue and execute Buy‑Ins on failed to receive trades to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Support/prepare notifications and reporting related to securities transactions for internal stakeholders.
- Investigate and address issues related to the settlement of security transaction activities.
- Execute manual transactions into book of record or depository for timely settlement.
- Liaise with external service providers, vendors, to support end‑to‑end processes related to transaction settlement.
- Process and investigate issues related to corporate actions and entitlements.
- University/College degree in a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience working with depository systems such as CDS/DTC and OTC assets.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and work efficiently to meet daily deadlines.
- Previous experience in a Settlements role or similar wealth management operations experience.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, self‑motivated, dedicated, and a good team player.
- Taking initiative, leading, and can‑do attitude.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Ability to thrive in a growing/dynamic environment.
- Canadian Securities Course, IFIC, PFP and other industry courses are an asset.
In‑office work model; requires employees to be onsite four days per week.
Compensation & Benefits- Salary range: $42,500 to $71,000 (exact salary depends on experience, skills, education and budget).
