In this role, the successful candidate will provide daily business support for front‑middle office applications, projects and workflow development that support CI’s compliance, portfolio management and portfolio operations functions.
Responsibilities- Work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment to deliver high‑quality service.
- Develop strong proficiency with the investment applications used for trading and portfolio management, and provide day‑to‑day support focusing on continual improvement in dependability and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with compliance, portfolio managers, traders and operations to define the scope of new processes, projects and associated workflows.
- Assist in the implementation and support of the new middle‑office platform (ABOR, IBOR, PMAR).
- Establish, monitor and maintain high client satisfaction levels.
- Work closely with project managers, business users, QA, developers and other technology professionals to ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
- Prioritize testing tasks, scenarios and test cases and track and report on testing activities.
- Cultivate effective working relationships with CI investment management and operations, custodians, clearers, auditors, data vendors and other industry partners.
- 3+ years of related work experience in a similar role or supporting front‑office trading.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with the Charles River Order Management System and Bloomberg Data.
- Experience with investment/accounting book‑of‑record systems.
- Excellent communication and listening skills for documenting and understanding business requirements.
- Strong knowledge of front‑middle‑back‑office portfolio management practices, including fund accountants, custodians, data vendors, etc.
- Knowledge of financial markets and complex instruments.
- Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of VBA and SQL.
- Effective time‑management and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Solid conceptual and problem‑solving skills to identify issues and provide recommendations.
- Base salary range: $69,500 – $119,500, depending on experience, skills, education and budget.
- Participation in a bonus program.
