Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Regional Vice‑President, Estate Planning to join our Estates & Insurance team. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for driving overall first‑year insurance revenue within Ontario and with specifically assigned concierge‑level Assante advisors, and to grow insurance revenue coming from our Private Client/Evolution clients. The role also includes providing advanced case consultation, advanced marketing help, integration with the Wealth Planning Group, and providing advanced insurance expertise to external inter‑corporate referral partners.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare advanced risk‑based insurance solutions for Assante advisors and their clients.
  • Have extensive knowledge of tax & estate planning issues related to the insurance concepts being marketed.
  • Review Wealth Plans, Estate Plans, and Financial Plans generated by the Wealth Planning Group for opportunities for advanced insurance opportunities.
  • Work with the local Wealth Planning consultants and Private Client Managers on advanced and/or complex insurance questions and issues.
  • Assist and coach the Estate Planning and Product Solutions Specialist (Inside Sales) on providing a tiered approach to providing service, including one‑on‑one meetings, telephone or email assistance, and general assistance via weekly or monthly email blasts or monthly or quarterly webcasts including branch meetings.
  • Have an in‑depth knowledge of insurance company products, concepts, and illustration systems.
  • Present advanced topics to branches, advisors, external referral partners.
  • Have an excellent understanding of Private Client and APC products and where they fit, to be able to refer advisors to their Assante Investment Wholesaler where appropriate based on clients’ investment opportunity.
  • Manage the message between the back office and advisors when issues occur, and ensure all advisors follow the AEIS Compliance Manual.
  • Allocate marketing budgets to various advisors/event requests based on sound business principles.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Extensive experience dealing with and managing advisors and their expectations.
  • Life Insurance and Accident & Sickness Insurance licenses as required for the jurisdiction of duty, with further application for all Canadian provinces and territories.
  • Advanced knowledge of life insurance company products and illustration software.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in personal and corporate insurance planning issues, needs analysis and identification, and solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in estate planning and business insurance planning.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with little supervision.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Creative thinker and an excellent presenter.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at once.
Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $135,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program.
