Title: Accounts Payable Analyst

Language requirement: Spoken and written competency in English is required. Spoken and written competency in both French and English is required only for one permanent role.

Location: Remote or hybrid in New Brunswick

    About the Accounts Payable Analyst role

    The Accounts Payable Analyst role encompasses comprehensive subject matter expertise for accounts payable, including a thorough understanding of all transactions, associated business processes, charts of accounts, and end-to-end flow of journal entries throughout the entire process cycle. This position operates within a complex multi-stream accounts payable environment that includes product payables, EDI transactions, CNB related payables, and non-product and service-related expenses.

    This role is also responsible for vendor reconciliations, and for providing timely business and customer support in all areas of accountability. The role requires a proactive approach to problem solving, frequent coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders, and the ability to work effectively across different systems and currencies.

    Additional Responsibilities

  • Financial Accounting – Ensure applicable financial transactions are complete, reliable, and compliant with internal policies and other applicable legislation; maintain a solid understanding of the charts of accounts and appropriate expense coding.
  • Reporting – Prepare internal and external reports and requests for information, as required, supporting Finance and leadership with timely and accurate payable-related data.
  • Accounts Payable (SME) – Maintain completeness and accuracy of accounts payable including invoice and payment processing, foreign currency payments, and appropriate application of commodity tax. Resolve discrepancies in a timely manner through…
