We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Homelessness Services Manager to lead our frontline teams and help drive meaningful impact in the community.
Position SummaryUnder a Housing First model, the Homelessness Services Manager oversees the daily operations of our homelessness service programs, including street outreach, overnight outreach, peer support, diversion and prevention and intensive case management. This role provides leadership, supervision, and strategic guidance to ensure high‑quality service delivery, strong community partnerships, and positive outcomes for those we serve.
Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Operations- Manage the day‑to‑day delivery of homelessness services across assigned programs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate program policies, procedures, and service models aligned with best practices
- Ensure compliance with all contractual, regulatory, and funding requirements.
- Monitor program performance metrics and prepare reports for leadership and funders.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and supervision to program staff.
- Oversee recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and ongoing professional development.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and culturally responsive team environment.
- Ensure services are client-centered, equitable, and strengths‑based.
- Support teams to resolve complex client issues and ensure appropriate crisis response.
- Promote integration of wrap‑around services, including mental health, substance use, and housing resources.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community agencies, local government, housing providers, and other key stakeholders.
- Represent the organization at community meetings, networks, and working groups.
- Advocate for policies and initiatives that improve outcomes for people experiencing homelessness.
- Manage program budgets and allocate resources effectively.
- Lead quality assurance, audits, and continuous improvement processes.
- Contribute to strategic planning, grant writing, and service expansion initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Public Administration, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in homelessness services, social services, housing programs, or related fields.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience. - Strong understanding of Housing First principles, trauma‑informed practice, harm reduction, and local housing systems.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with diverse populations with sensitivity and respect.
- Experience working with complex needs: mental health, substance use, domestic violence, and crisis intervention.
- Valid driver’s license.
