ABOUTTHE ROLE
AEI is seeking an experienced, strategic, and relationship-focused leader to serve as Director of our Offshore Schools Program.
Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, the Director provides strategic and operational leadership for the Offshore Schools Program, which delivers the New Brunswick curriculum to partnership schools around the world.
The Director is responsible for ensuring program quality, integrity, sustainability, and continued growth of the Offshore Schools Program. The role provides leadership for program delivery, accreditation oversight, partner success, operational excellence, and strategic growth while ensuring alignment with AEI’s mission, values, and strategic priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS Education, Experience and Knowledge Required for the Position include:- A university degree in Education, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing organizational change.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance, accreditation, compliance, and continuous improvement processes.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain trusted relationships with senior leaders, government representatives, partners, and international stakeholder.
- Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working with international partners and navigating diverse cultural contexts.
- Strong strategic thinking, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Financial and operational management experience.
- Ability to travel internationally and work flexible hours to accommodate partner needs across multiple time zones.
- Valid passport and ability to meet international travel requirements
- A graduate degree, professional designation, or relevant certification is considered an asset.
- Experience with in K-12 education systems.
- Experience working with international schools or international education programs.
- Experience managing complex partnership, contracts, and stakeholder relationships.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Lead the strategic direction, planning, and continuous improvement of the Offshore Schools Program.
- Ensure program quality, accreditation integrity, regulatory compliance, and adherence to established standards.
- Oversee the review, evaluation, and approval process for prospective offshore school partners.
- Foster strong relationships with partner schools, educational leaders, government representatives, and other key stakeholders.
- Monitor program performance, establish meaningful measures of success, and implement strategies to support continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to a multidisciplinary team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
- Ensure effective stewardship of program resources through sound financial, operational, and risk management practices.
- Represent AEI domestically and internationally and serve as a senior ambassador for the New Brunswick Offshore Schools Program.
- Contribute to organizational planning and decision-making as a member of AEI’s leadership team.
