Ready to Make an impact? The Bakery Manager is responsible for the efficient and fiscally responsible operation of the department, leading, coaching, motivating, and training staff to achieve the highest level of customer service while adhering to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, corporate policies, Health and Safety, and other programs and initiatives.
Responsibilities- People Leadership:
Create a coaching and development culture for all employees, serve as a role model, manage direct reports (selection, orientation, training, performance management, succession planning, and compensation), and communicate operational requirements/changes. - Customer Offering:
Provide an engaging shopping experience that enhances loyalty, sales, and profit; deliver superior customer service, demonstrate exceptional product knowledge, and manage ordering, receiving, organizing, rotating, merchandising, and presenting products. - Policy/Regulatory Adherence:
Lead implementation of all corporate policies, initiatives, and Standard Operating Procedures; ensure compliance and timely, accurate documentation. - Financial:
Ensure department meets financial targets, maximize sales and margins, forecast sales, analyze variances, control labor costs, manage the budget, and maintain appropriate pricing, promotions, and product policies. - Employee Engagement:
Foster an environment of employee engagement, initiate and lead community and charitable events, and maintain a clean, safe working environment. - Other Duties:
Coordinate maintenance of department equipment and repairs; provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Above average communication skills (oral and written)
- Full knowledge of department operations and skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Full knowledge of total store operations and skills
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 18 months of retail store experience, particularly in the specific department
- Experience reading and analyzing financial reports and developing and adhering to budgets
