Field Geologist

Position: Field Geologist at Axis Geoscience
Join Axis Geoscience Ltd. as a Field Geologist to drive success in mineral exploration throughout Canada. You will be involved in geological mapping, sampling, and drill support in remote areas, ensuring safe operations and effective communication.

This contract-based role is essential for executing exploration programs with a focus on hard-rock exploration. Your responsibilities will include planning field activities, geographical mapping, and maintaining records while supporting drill campaigns. Collaborating with a small team, you will actively participate in collecting and validating geological data, all done under strict safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute geological field programs for exploration

• Conduct geological mapping and prospecting in rugged terrain

• Supervise drill campaigns and maintain core records

• Collect samples and uphold QA/QC procedures

• Contribute to exploration reports and geological models

Requirements:

• Strong geological field skills and experience in mapping

• Proficient in core logging and drill supervision

• Understanding of hard-rock exploration methods

• Experience with GIS software like QGIS or ArcGIS

• Ability to function effectively in remote environments
