Senior Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

Then we have a position for you! PURPLEFARM is one of Canada’s premier craft cannabis producers. Coming from the legacy market, PURPLEFARM currently operates a 12,000 sq ft facility out of Johnstown, Ontario and has expanded into Fredericton, New Brunswick to operate a 90,000 sq ft facility.

As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and operational excellence of our facilities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance
• Leading and supporting technicians with preventative and corrective maintenance
• Responding to emergency maintenance issues as required
• Ensuring compliance with Worksafe NB regulations
• Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations
• Completing detailed documentation for scheduled and emergency maintenance and installations
• Supporting facility upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
• Performing other related duties as required

To succeed in this role, candidates should have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or commercial maintenance
• Mandatory HVAC experience
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing team environment

• Millwright certification
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Previous experience in manufacturing or cannabis production environments
• Full-time position based at our Fredericton, New Brunswick facility
• Overtime required during peak production periods and project deadlines
• Competitive salary range of $60,000 to $80,000 annually
