An opportunity exists at G&E Contracting LP for Skilled Labourers and Experienced Excavator Operators. These are full-time positions based out G&E’s Langford yard in Victoria with jobsites in the local area, reporting to the Site Foreman.

Highly competitive wages (Hourly rate starting at $35.00 per hour)

The successful candidate shall have the following qualifications:
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in operating varied size excavators in a civil construction environment
Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract is required
Experience operating backhoes and skid steers beneficial
Dedicated, committed and safety conscious
Able to work within a team environment
Able to take direction and instructions
Job duties include the following:
Excavation of drain and sewer lines
Grading for road works
Excavation for concrete structures
Working around shoring systems
Installing water/sewer and drainage utilities
Accurate back filling and final grading
