Skilled Painter & Decorator Fredericton

Capital Planning & Operations seeks a Skilled Painter & Decorator to maintain and beautify the University of New Brunswick campus. This role involves both maintenance and construction tasks in various conditions.

As a full-time employee in Fredericton, you will work independently and as part of a team. Your tasks will include mixing paints, performing drywall finishing, and using tools to ensure high-quality finishes. Additionally, you will adhere to safety standards while working at heights and supervise trades helpers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply coatings to building surfaces accurately

• Mix and match paint colors as required

• Erect ladders and scaffolding for projects

• Prepare detailed job estimates for projects

• Ensure adherence to safety protocols at all times

Requirements:

• Valid license for Painting and Decorating in New Brunswick

• 3 years of experience at the Journeyperson level

• Understanding of Health and Safety Act regulations

• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings

• Versatility with various painting tools and techniques
