JMC HR Consulting is pleased to partner with A&J Hanna Construction to recruit Skilled Carpenters and Journeyman Carpenters to join their team in Fredericton, NB.

Are you an experienced carpenter who takes pride in quality work? This opportunity offers hands-on work across new construction and renovation projects with an established, family-owned company.

A&J Hanna Construction has provided quality new construction and renovation services in the Greater Fredericton area since 1986. Founded by Chris and Regina Hanna, the company has built its reputation on dependable service, skilled workmanship, and on-time, on-budget project completion.

Reporting to the Foreman, you will carry out a variety of carpentry tasks on residential and commercial projects. You will work alongside other trades and team members to deliver quality results while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient job site.

• Complete framing, renovations, repairs, and interior and exterior finishing.
• Install doors, windows, trim, siding, drywall, flooring, and other building components.
• Build and repair stairs, porches, frameworks, and other wooden structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials using hand and power tools.
• Follow project requirements, applicable building codes, and safe work procedures.
• Coordinate with the Foreman, coworkers, and other trades to keep work progressing.
• Maintain tools and equipment, handle materials safely, and keep work areas clean.
• Complete timesheets and required project documentation accurately.
• Support apprentices and less experienced team members, as appropriate.

• At least two years of relevant carpentry experience.
• Journeyman Carpenter certification or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong carpentry skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read blueprints and take accurate measurements.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, tools, and workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently, follow direction, and contribute to a team.
• A reliable, professional approach and pride in your workmanship.
• Ability to carry out physical construction work, including lifting materials, using ladders and scaffolding, and working in varying weather conditions.
• A valid driver’s licence.

• $20–$30 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
• Health and dental benefits.
• Monday to Friday schedule, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• A variety of construction and renovation projects in the Greater Fredericton area.
