Position: Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk

Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk

Freehold, NJ | Contract |
Pay: $24–$28/hour (DOE)

About the Role

We are seeking an entry-level Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk to support billing, payment processing, and account reconciliation functions. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting or finance career who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow in a professional office environment. This is a contract or contract-to-hire opportunity

Responsibilities
  • Generate and process customer invoices accurately and timely
  • Apply incoming payments (checks, ACH, wire) to customer accounts
  • Monitor aging reports and assist with collections follow-ups
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate AR records and documentation
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding payment status
  • Support month-end close and reporting activities
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of accounts receivable, billing, accounting, or clerical experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic Excel skills and comfort with accounting or ERP systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
