Put your career into high gear with Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices! We’re looking for full‑time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state‑of‑the‑art centers in the Freehold, NJ area.

As Mavis’s leaders in undercar repairs, Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of services on customers’ vehicles. They perform undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks, complete state‑mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Possess 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Possess an extensive toolbox of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs.

Preferred qualifications:

• State inspection license(s).
• ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

On a daily basis, automotive mechanics are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements consistent with vehicle maintenance. Mechanics must regularly lift or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
