The Videographer is responsible for operating our single-camera setup from a stationary riser, ensuring dynamic and perfectly framed videos of every live dance performance and award ceremony. Additionally, the Videographer will manage a software-based switcher and control our Livestream. Experience in videography or a knowledge of dance are crucial, as this position requires a great eye for motion, composition, and flow.
Predicting fast movements and keeping a steady shot is a must. Our competitions are full-day events, with performances every 3-4 minutes and just 15-20 seconds between each for up to 5 hours straight. This demands maintaining consistent quality and focus from start to finish. Due to the fast-paced nature of the event, there's no time for editing, so it's vital to ensure your camera settings are perfect and conduct quality checks before the event starts.
This position requires exceptional attention to detail, a high level of stamina, and the ability to stay focused throughout the entire event. This role is for high-energy individuals who have a passion for videography and thrive in a live-event setting.
