Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity and Policy

Seton Hall University's Department of Mathematics and Computer Science and the School of Diplomacy and International Relations invite applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in cybersecurity and policy to commence in the  academic year. The position will be a joint appointment housed in the College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, and with undergraduate and graduate teaching responsibilities each year for Computer Science (3 courses/9 credits) and Diplomacy and International Relations (3 courses/9 credits).

• Qualified to teach courses in the fields of computer science related to cybersecurity.
• Qualified to teach courses in government policy related to cyber security, information security, and cyber warfare.
• Qualified to teach courses in modern statistical research methods/data analysis.
• Interested candidates who can contribute to degree programs in cybersecurity and international and homeland security and help launch new curriculum in security and conflict analysis.

• Ph.D. in hand by appointment, either in computer science, computer engineering, or cybersecurity, accompanied by academic training in public policy or extensive policy experience.
• Or political science or a related discipline accompanied by academic computer science training or extensive technical experience.
• Successful applicants demonstrate potential to teach effectively at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• All applicants should have strong research backgrounds or demonstrate substantial potential for conducting important academic research in their field of specialization.
