John J. Fitzsimmons Scholarship

JOHN J. FITZSIMMONS SCHOLARSHIP, AWARDED BY THE FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL PATRIOT PARENT-TEACHER ORGANIZATION: (Freehold Township High School Students)

Six (6) $250 scholarships awarded to graduating seniors at Freehold Township High School, who have distinguished themselves in the area of academics, student activities, or interscholastic athletics.

Presented in the name of John J. Fitzsimmons, these scholarships honor the excellence that he promoted, the compassion and understanding that he demonstrated, and the success that he experienced throughout his 30-year career in the FRHSD, the last ten years of which were spent at Freehold Township High School as a Teacher and Administrator.

• Applicants must be a Freehold Township High Student;
• Applicant must be accepted into a two or four year college or university;
• Applicant must complete an essay in 300 words or less – “Please explain how you have shown your support or have been influenced by Freehold Township High School in ONE of the following categories: academics, student activities or athletics”;
• Selection will be made by members of the Freehold Township PTO.
