Colin Monahan Scholarship Persevering Student-Athletes

B. MONAHAN SCHOLARSHIP: (Freehold High School Wrestler)

One (1) $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior who wrestled all 4 years and who will continue their education at a college or trade school.

Colin Monahan was a student-athlete for most of his life. He wrestled all three years at Eisenhower Middle School, all four years at Freehold “Boro” High School, and the entirety of his college career at Ursinus College. In college, Colin faced challenges that affected his wrestling but didn’t diminish his dedication to the team.

The individual applying does not have to continue wrestling in the next step of their education, but must exemplify the traits that Colin showed throughout his wrestling career.

• Write an essay telling how you have demonstrated perseverance, loyalty, dedication, and spirit to your team. Your essay should be at least 200 words.
• Please include what your post-high school education will include and whether you will continue a sport. Continuing a sport doesn’t impact consideration for the scholarship; we are interested in you.
