ERIC S. MUNSELL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: (Freehold Township High School Students)
One (1) $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from Freehold Township High School.
The “Eric S. Munsell Memorial Scholarship” was established by Eric’s family after his untimely passing in February of 2014. The scholarship is awarded in memory of Eric, a 2008 graduate of Freehold Township High School, a 2012 graduate of Boston University, and a successful aerospace engineer at GE Aviation. Eric was a member of the varsity soccer, cross-country, and track teams at FTHS, and had the ability to brighten everywhere he went with his silly sense of humor and beaming smile.
The scholarship commemorates Eric’s ability to approach life with an easygoing personality, while maintaining a conscientious, hardworking, and dependable attitude. The scholarship is given each spring to a graduating student-athlete of Freehold Township High School who best exemplifies the characteristics of Eric and who is pursuing a degree in engineering.
- Applicant shall be a graduating senior from Freehold Township High School;
- Applicant shall be pursuing an engineering degree as a full‑time student at an accredited two or four‑year college/university;
- Applicant will have participated in athletics at FTHS;
- Applicant shall have a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0; and
- Consideration will be based on those who best exemplify the characteristics of Eric.
Selection will be made by the Munsell Family
