Denise Bartone Memorial Scholarship

DENISE BARTONE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: (Freehold Township Resident)

Denise Bartone was a bright light to the Freehold Township community and to all who crossed her path. She was a loving mother who volunteered in her daughters’ schools on a regular basis. Denise served as the Chairperson of the Freehold Township Education Foundation for several years. In that role, she coordinated efforts to raise funds that improved programs in the Freehold Township School District.

This scholarship is in her memory to recognize a student who exemplified her spirit to give back to the community.

One (1) $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a former student of the Freehold Township Pre K-Eight school district graduating from any FRHSD school.

• Applicant must have graduated eighth grade from the Freehold Township School District and attended Freehold Township Schools for a minimum of three years;
• Applicant must be a resident from Freehold Township;
• Satisfactory academic record;
• Significant community Service Involvement;
• A short essay detailing the volunteer work you have done in the community and explaining what this has meant to you;
