Job Description

Teacher of Plumbing

Nature of Position: Full-Time, 10-Month Position – September 1, 2026 Opening – High School Shared Time Program, Freehold NJ

Qualifications

New Jersey Plumbing and Pipe fitting (2537) Standard Certificate, Certificate of Eligibility
or four years of eligible industry experience and willingness to attain certification through Alternate Route to Teaching program
Appropriate New Jersey Instructional Certificate

Reports To

Principal/Director

Performance Responsibilities

Employ appropriate instructional and evaluative techniques and use instructional materials in the classroom.

Take advantage of opportunities to enhance professional knowledge and instructional qualifications.

Be responsible for appropriate planning and preparation for teaching classes.

Establish procedures of control and conflict resolution to minimize disciplinary action.

Develop a climate that enhances respect in teacher-student relationships and among peers.

Compile reports, maintain records, and manage the physical classroom environment.

Cooperate with administration and associates in school activities that enhance district operations.

Actively participate in curriculum evaluation and revision.

Implement the district's safety program to provide a safe environment for vocational education.

Assume responsibility for other professional duties as assigned within terms of employment and certification.

Terms of Employment

Ten month position in accordance with MCVEA contract.

Evaluation

Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the Board's policy on evaluation of certificated staff.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: $60,415 - $99,170
