SummaryThe Product Engineer is a corporate function supporting the Camfil Americas filter production operations. You will be responsible for product design/configuration, working with engineering team to develop new configurations, revising existing products, and provide administrative support to both internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will be familiar with mechanical design and applications in manufacturing. Problem solving and critical thinking are essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Product customizations per customer requirements or market trends.
- Utilize CAD tools (2D and 3D) to design components and finished products.
- Support customer service teams within Camfil Americas filtration group with daily part creation, set up and submittal drawings.
- Manage product data and other related documentation.
- Participate in collaborative cross-functional teams.
- Creation of Bill of Material (BOM), part numbers, and routings.
Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary.
Minimum Qualifications- Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technologies Preferred. Associates Degree Mechanical Design or related technologies with related work experience, required minimum. - 1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Creation of 2-D drawings using GD&T standards
- AS 400 or similar ERP experience a plus
- Strong Solid Works and AutoCAD skills
- Experience with DFM/DFMA
- Creative thinking and problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
