Job DescriptionThis role focuses on site civil and land development design for a mix of residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed‑use projects, including subdivisions and multi‑family developments. You will prepare comprehensive civil engineering construction documents, perform detailed stormwater management and grading design, and support permitting and compliance efforts. The position offers close collaboration with experienced professional engineers, strong opportunities for professional growth, and a supportive, flexible work environment.
Responsibilities- Design and develop site civil and land development plans for residential, commercial, industrial and mixed‑use projects, including subdivisions, multi‑family, and commercial site plans.
- Prepare complete engineering construction documents, including site layouts, grading plans, drainage plans, utility layouts, earthwork plans, soil erosion and sediment control plans, and civil/site permitting documents.
- Create and manage alignments, design surfaces, and pipe networks using AutoCAD Civil 3D for a variety of land development projects.
- Perform detailed design tasks such as site layouts, grading, and drainage calculations to support civil engineering projects from concept through completion.
- Prepare complex stormwater management calculations and technical reports, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Develop and support flood studies and flood hazard area permitting, including the preparation of related documentation and analyses.
- Ensure technical accuracy and adherence to standard engineering practices across all plans, reports, and design documents.
- Incorporate appropriate documentation, supporting data, and references into design packages and engineering reports.
- Ensure that assigned projects comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, standards, and policies related to land development and stormwater management.
- Maintain accurate records, project notes, and required documentation for all assigned projects throughout their lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with professional engineers, surveyors, and other team members to coordinate project design and delivery.
- Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders to clarify project requirements and present design solutions.
This is a Contract position based out of Freehold, NJ.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.48 - $60.10/hr.
Workplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Freehold, NJ.
