Finance Operations Business Partner

A Wiss manufacturing client located in Hudson County, NJ is seeking a Finance Operations Business Partner to join their growing Finance and Operations team. The position will report to the VP of Finance and be integral in all key finance and accounting activities. Prior Manufacturing experience is a MUST! The candidate should be able to cross-collaborate with all key leadership in the plant and have an extensive understanding of inventory.

Background:

Core Responsibilities:

• Initiate and monitor physical inventory and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy, investigate variances, and resolve issues.
• Perform accounting, analysis & reporting of manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, overhead, & freight.
• Compare actual costs to estimates and work with other departments on determining causes & corrective actions.
• Investigate inventory counting variances and resolve issues.
• Reporting & analysis of inventory turnover, including highlight of slow moving, non-conforming & obsolete parts.
• Fixed asset accounting, including physical counts & tracking asset utilization.
• Provide back-up & support for other accounting functions as needed, including special projects as assigned.
• Assist in developing continuous monitoring programs for key business areas using data analysis
• Support internal and external audit requests during annual and interim audits
• Ad-hoc financial analysis and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2 to 5 years accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
• SAP experience a MUST
• Strong Excel Skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Able to build and manage collaborative relationships with a variety of people

Target Compensation: $95-$110k salary (commensurate with experience) + 10% discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits
