Vice President Finance

Title: VP of Finance / CFO

Location: Freehold NJ - Onsite 4 days per week

Compensation: A range between $250--300k + bonus

We are seeking an operational finance executive to rebuild and lead the finance organization of a growing multifamily real estate company. The right person is equally comfortable improving financial operations, building teams, implementing processes, and serving as a strategic business partner to ownership.

This is a hands‑on leadership role. If you prefer simply reviewing financial statements and managing accounting from a distance, this position is probably not the right fit.

• Lead and rebuild the finance and accounting organization.
• Create scalable processes, SOPs, internal controls, and accountability throughout the department.
• Develop and mentor an accounting team while establishing a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Improve financial reporting, forecasting, cash management, lender reporting, and investor reporting.
• Partner directly with ownership on acquisitions, financing activities, due diligence, and strategic growth initiatives.
• Evaluate existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and build a finance organization capable of supporting significant future growth.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to ownership while executing independently with minimal direction.

Candidates should possess most or all of the following:

• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
• Significant experience within multifamily real estate, property management, or real estate ownership organizations.
• Experience leading accounting and finance teams through operational improvement or organizational transformation.
• Demonstrated success building processes, implementing SOPs, improving controls, and creating scalable financial infrastructure.
• Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash management, lender reporting, investor reporting, and multiple legal entities.
• Experience supporting acquisitions, refinancing, and due diligence.
• Proven ability to develop people, create accountability, and lead high‑performing teams.
