Sr. HR Leader Partnering with Businesses | Passionate Leader & Visionary Business Developer | A Catalyst for Talent and GrowthThe Information Systems Administrator will oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operations of computer and application systems. The incumbent would install hardware and software and participate in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with the IT business needs of their organization. System administrators also actively resolve problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions within the company.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
- System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
- A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
- Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate
- The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, good organizational/planning, and problem-solving ability
Required Skills
- Knowledge of these systems would be a plus:
- SAP B1 ERP System with SAP Hana database, Batch Master, WMS Warehouse
- Quick Books 2022
- MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Responsibilities
- Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
- Administer servers for Windows, SUSE Linux, VMware, and virtual machines
- Manage network administration and troubleshoot network issues
- Maintain general system knowledge for managing systems while providing support and training to staff
- Install, configure, and update workstations, laptops, network devices, software, and servers
- Manage user accounts, including creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts
- Oversee network security management, including managing firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems
- Create and maintain documentation of system configurations, change logs, and standard operating procedures for processes in our information systems
- Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to ensure cohesive and effective IT operations and share knowledge
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues
- Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
- Responsible for capacity planning, storage planning, and database performance
- Manage and evaluate IT vendors and supplies costs; handle all IT procurement needs
- Ability to support application systems such as SAP B1 ERP system, Quick Books, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and SAP Hana database would be a plus
- Perform additional duties as needed
