IT Business Analyst, Database Administrator
The Application System Analyst III - CS is a full‑time position in Atlantic Health’s Information Technology Division, primarily supporting the applications role has oversight of implementations and support of various enterprise business systems. The work is accomplished in a team environment and requires outstanding problem‑solving and communication skills. Working independently on analysis of workflows, system details and technical issues associated with the applications supported.
Responsibilities- Administers the Lawson ERP software package on the IBM i (formerly iSeries) platform.
- Provides administrative support for applications.
- Solve highly complex problems and develop solutions to tasks or projects that may be unique, using judgement, initiative and possibly software development skills.
- Develop database queries utilizing SQL.
- Analyze multiple major and minor enhancements in accordance with ISS standards and best practices.
- Interact with key clinical, business and operations staff to understand needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Collaborate with vendors and escalates vendor issues as necessary.
- Facilitate meetings and provide functionality demonstrations.
- Keep current with the latest technologies and trends in the IT field.
- Be available on an on‑call basis for system upgrades, go‑lives and departmental support needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field or equivalent work experience in Software Development or System Administration fields.
- Minimum 5 years of experience within Information Technology or applicable area of healthcare.
- Experience with application development, testing, building and configuration.
- Experience developing interfaces between applications.
- Infor Lawson ERP administration experience, including user security management, environment management, end‑user support and application patch management is preferred.
- Experience administering IBM i (formerly iSeries) including backup/recovery using BRMS and iTera replication software, user account management and PTF management is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical and/or business practices and principles.
- Ability to gather information from multiple sources and analyze appropriateness to develop an efficient workflow.
- Experience with organizational strategies, business operations and end‑user requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership and change management skills.
- A history of mentoring others within the team.
