Position: Technician Management Information - Office of the County Clerk

Description

Technician will be assigned to several projects and tasks working with current systems throughout the offices including the Recording Division, the Elections Division, and other technologies.

  • Implement and monitor various in-house systems, including those relating to document recording, and elections.
  • Update and analyze application software and perform system maintenance, including the County Clerk website
  • Act as communication link between departments and agency supervisors and/or administrative staff to provide technical assistance.
  • Answer inquiries from systems users; explain system functions and provide technical assistance in the use and application of system features.
  • Provide support in the maintenance of client or endpoint software.
  • Install and configure printers and workstations; install software programs
  • Troubleshoot and respond to requests for assistance with hardware and software issues

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

:

  • Understanding of Server and Workstation systems
  • Experience with MS Operating Systems, including Windows Server
  • Competency with technical capacity, Problem Solving/Analysis, and Critical Thinking
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate equally well with the user community and internal ITS staff.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment and deliver assigned projects within established time, scope, and budget parameters.
  • Passion for learning new technologies and applying new knowledge experiences.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to understand business objectives and the infrastructure needed to support them.

Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in an Information Technology field
  • 5+ years experience
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Ability to work unconventional hours (more than eight hours a day, at night and on weekends)
