Field/Service Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Pest Control Technician overview:
You will be responsible for working with a variety of customers in the hospitality industry and other commercial businesses. By providing quality services and identifying solutions to pest problems you will help customers protect their brand and support their success. The role includes a 5-week comprehensive PAID TRAINING program designed to provide the tools and resources to be one of the best in the field;
no prior experience is required. Once in an established route, this role offers flexible scheduling and ownership of the customer accounts you service.
- Establish effective working relationships with a variety of customers and partner with them on best practices to identify and solve pest elimination needs
- Maintain expertise in Ecolab's product/service offerings and industry conditions to enhance service and sales of pest prevention/elimination solutions
- Use handheld computerized equipment to manage service and document structural, sanitation and pest issues
- This is a field-based position and may require travel in and around the surrounding areas:
- Freehold, NJ
- Work week and shift:
- Overnight Shift;
Sunday-Thursday (9/10pm-5/6am)

During the training program, you will travel to Ecolab Corporate Headquarters in Eagan, Minnesota for 1 of the 5 weeks. Travel typically occurs during week 3 and the remaining weeks are in-field training. Ecolab will arrange and pay for travel and certain travel-related expenses. You are responsible for proper documentation to fly, such as a Real other acceptable form of identification.

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two years of work or military experience
- Current and valid Driver's License
- Ability to work overnight shifts as needed
- Willingness to be on call during off work hours and weekends as necessary
- Ability to obtain required pest certification and/or business licensing per state/local law
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Background check conducted on all candidates who receive a job offer
- Drug test including THC for all candidates who receive a job offer due to federal contract requirements
- Immigration sponsorship not available for this role
- Must be capable of wearing a respirator
- Lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying up to 50 pounds chest high
- Working in varying conditions including confined spaces, damp/dusty locations, ladders, and extreme temperatures
- Essential duties include lifting, kneeling, crouching, reaching, using hands and fingers, balancing, walking, standing, talking and hearing
- Drive a company vehicle as required; pre-employment and ongoing motor vehicle record checks will be performed
- Previous customer service experience
- Ability to sell value-added products to existing customers
- Previous pest elimination industry or route experience preferred

CompensationThe total compensation range for this position is $36,600-$54,800, including base pay and target incentive based on performance after completion of the comprehensive paid training program. Factors such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. are considered. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
