Atlantic Health is Seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner for Pulmonary Critical Care in Freehold, NJ

Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey’s largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join the Centra State Pulmonology Critical Care team at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold, New Jersey. The team includes five pulmonologists, seven nurse practitioners, and dedicated support staff serving the 16-bed Intensive Care Unit at Centra State Health System.

The Per Diem NP will work at least two shifts per month, with opportunities for more shifts as needed. The NP will collaborate with the pulmonology team to deliver immediate, high-quality care to ICU patients.

• Manage the critical care unit in collaboration with attending physicians
• Write consult and follow-up notes
• Perform procedures such as central line, arterial line, and HD catheter placement
• Preferred but not mandatory procedures: intubation, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube, lumbar puncture (LP)

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Critical Care experience
• Excellent communication and computer skills
• Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
