Infusion Registered Nurse Position Responsibilities

The Infusion Nurse reports to the Nursing Manager and is responsible for providing clinical services. The infusion nurse is responsible for the quality and adequacy of services, may supervise staff when required, administers clinical care, prepares progress notes and summaries of care, and keeps the Nursing Manager, physician, and other personnel informed of changes in the client’s condition.

Infusion nurse with current unencumbered licensure to practice professional nursing in Florida or New Jersey.

• Prefer a Bachelor's degree in Nursing; must have graduated from an accredited Nursing program.
• Minimum of five (5) years of documented experience; 3–5 years of clinical experience with at least 2 years in infusion care preferred.
• Possess exceptional nursing assessment skills.
• Comply with accepted professional standards of practice.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Analytic/Critical thinker.
• Excellent IV skills / ability to start IV lines on difficult patients.
• Pediatric experience a plus.
• Port access experience.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal tactfully with clients, staff, and the community.
• Treat clients, staff, and the public with courtesy, respect and present a positive public image.
• Understands regulatory compliance, federal regulations including but not limited to OSHA, HIPAA.
• Position includes tasks that have the potential for exposure to blood and other potentially infectious material (OPIM) such as body fluids/tissues.

The Infusion Nurse must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance may be required depending on the ability of the client. The candidate must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
