Salary & Schedule

Salary: $20 - $23.00 per hour, determined by skills, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule: Full‑time, 40 hrs/week. Monday–Wednesday 8:00‑20:00, Thursday‑Friday 8:00‑18:00, Saturday 8:00‑14:00. One day off per week and one Saturday shift per month.

Tranquility Veterinary Clinic is an AAHA‑accredited, full‑service animal hospital in Sussex County, serving the community since 1974. We provide high‑quality care for dogs, cats, and exotic pets across preventive, diagnostic, surgical, dental, and complementary therapies.

We are hiring a full‑time Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care and exceptional service to our patients and clients. The ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures.

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients, providing care instructions and status updates.
• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

• 1+ year of veterinary experience required.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
