Position OverviewOur client, a leading dietary supplement manufacturer serving national retailers and wellness brands, is hiring a Food Labeling & Regulatory Coordinator (Supplements) to support their growing compliance and certifications team. Known for delivering high-quality, third‑party certified products, this company fosters a collaborative work environment rooted in regulatory excellence. The Food Labeling & Regulatory Coordinator will oversee product labeling, regulatory documentation, and certification processes across a wide portfolio of dietary supplements.
This role reports directly to the Senior Quality Assurance Manager and works closely with Procurement, Sales, QA, and R&D to ensure compliance with evolving regulatory and retail standards.
- Review and approve product labels, supplement facts, packaging components, and marketing claims to ensure compliance with 21 CFR Part 111, NSF 455‑2, and FDA labeling regulations.
- Coordinate and maintain certifications, including USDA Organic, Non‑GMO, NSF, Vegan, Kosher, and Gluten‑Free.
- Serve as the liaison between the company and certification bodies (e.g., NSF, QAI, Non‑GMO Project) for submissions, renewals, and audits.
- Monitor regulatory changes impacting food and supplement labeling, including requirements specific to large retailers such as Costco and Walmart.
- Maintain documentation such as ingredient master files, specifications, COCs, and SDS files to ensure audit readiness.
- Escalate compliance or certification‑related concerns to senior management as appropriate.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure accuracy in labeling, formulation, and certification standards.
- Minimum 2 years in a regulatory, labeling, or certifications‑focused role within the food, beverage, or supplement industry.
- Strong understanding of FDA regulations for dietary supplements, including 21 CFR Part 111 and HACCP.
- Experience with SQF certification (preferred for regulatory roles).
- Familiarity with private label retail compliance (Costco, Walmart, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Detail‑oriented with strong written and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field is required.
