General Facilities Maintenance Technician

Execute routine maintenance tasks that uphold safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, or fixtures. Work under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, adhering to established maintenance schedules and guidelines, and performing inspections, cleaning, and repairs.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, or food equipment skills, and using hand and power tools.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Can move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Can work in various temperatures
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• Vocational or Technical certification and at least one of the following experience thresholds in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade: 1 year experience (or 2 years total work experience), 3 years experience, or 5 years experience.

Hourly wage range: $21.00 – $39.00 (actual rate will equal or exceed applicable minimum wage; additional premiums may apply). Additional bonus available during interview.
