.Net Developer with Cyg Net SCADA enterprise software

Develop and maintain engineering software for the upstream oil/gas industry within Cyg Net SCADA enterprise environment.

• Develop and maintain engineering software.
• Analyze, decompose and specify requirements based on business and engineering principles.
• Contribute to system and product architecture, design and interface definitions.
• Create design artifacts and documentation using software engineering conventions.
• Develop and implement detailed and complex algorithms for engineering solutions.
• Resolve complex product and system issues applying computer science, engineering approaches and mathematical principles.
• Evaluate existing legacy system implementation, determining optimal resolution of issues and enhancements.
• Resolve customer complaints, respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• Participate in the development of software user manuals.
• Assist in coaching and training less‑experienced staff.
• Assist in planning and coordination of projects or act as team leader.
• Work with test teams to design and develop testing strategies, guidelines, and goals for integration, product and acceptance testing.
• Assist with definition, implementation, assessment, measurement, management, change and improvement of the software development process.
• Participate in change control decisions of products.
• Identify and assist in management of intellectual property, third‑party software, re‑use, and compliance.
• Provide technical leadership to the organization and development team.
• Act as technical consultant to Product Line Management, Support, Services, and Testing organizations, and other teams.
• Contribute significantly to product roadmaps, estimation, planning, risk identification and development status.
• Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external customers, translating needs into requirements and explaining technical issues.
• Understand and comply with safety rules and company policies.
• Perform various other duties as assigned within the physical constraints of the job.

• Advanced knowledge of OOD/OOP.
• Advanced knowledge of C++ and/or C#.
• Experience in software architectural design.
• Experience in client/server development on MS Windows platform.
• Understanding of software engineering principles with ability to translate requirements into design and code.
• Strong diagnostic skills to analyze, track, troubleshoot, and solve complex problems and design appropriate solutions.
• Ability to prioritize and perform work independently.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to foster teamwork.

• Experience developing engineering software in upstream oil/gas industry.
• Working knowledge of Agile framework and methodologies.
• Working knowledge of design patterns.
• Experience in database technologies such as SQL Server and Postgre
  
  SQL.
