Highland Community College periodically searches for part‑time tutor/mentors in our TRIO Services department to provide academic support and guidance to our Upward Bound program participants. Upward Bound is a pre‑college program which partners with high school students and their families to overcome class, social, academic, and cultural barriers to higher education.
Salary is $15 per hour.
Qualifications include at least two years of undergraduate coursework and 1‑2 years as an academic tutor or summer camp counselor, demonstrated leadership skills, excellent interpersonal skills and an understanding of the needs of a diverse youth population.
