Are you passionate about mentoring the next generation of nail artists? Highland Community College is seeking an Illinois-licensed Nail Tech Instructor. This is a part-time position scheduled for 28 hours per week. The scheduled days and hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach state‑mandated subjects including nail anatomy, sterilization, OSHA standards, and advanced techniques like acrylics and light‑cured gels.
- Prepare students specifically for the Illinois State Board examinations.
- Oversee students performing services on the public to ensure safety and sanitation compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of student hours, grades, and attendance.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must hold a current Illinois Nail Technology Teacher or Cosmetology Teacher license.
- Must have 2 years of full‑time experience as a practicing nail technician within the last 5 years.
- Completed one‑time, approved course on abnormal skin growth education, including training on identifying melanoma.
- Work in a collaborative and student‑centered academic environment.
- Play a meaningful role in helping students achieve their educational and career goals.
