We are seeking a Social Studies Teacher at Freeport High School who will provide rigorous, high-quality instruction and support to our students.
Qualifications- Must hold a current Social Studies certification in the State of Maine.
- Bachelor degree (four year) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two-year classroom teaching experience preferred.
- Completed fingerprinting in accordance with school requirements.
- Ability to create and maintain positive relations with students, school personnel, and parents.
- Ability to collaborate with the appropriate stakeholders to maintain high quality instruction and student support.
- Demonstrates sound judgment and effective communication skills.
- Ability to reflect on instructional practices to enhance student achievement.
- Fulfills all performance responsibilities of a Social Studies Teacher in a high school setting.
- Must hold valid (700)- Social Studies Certification from the ME Dept. of Education.
Position remains open until suitable candidate is found.
