Electrical Controls Engineer – Freeport, IL (1st Shift)

What You’ll Do- Lead electrical & automation projects from concept through completion
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize Allen‑Bradley PLCs (Control Logix, Compact Logix, Micro Logix)
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems, communication networks, and PCB‑level components
- Support HMI/SCADA systems and industrial automation equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot steam boiler systems and related controls
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering preferred (apprenticeship or equivalent experience considered)
- 5+ years of industrial electrical/controls experience
- Strong hands‑on PLC programming and troubleshooting skills
- Solid understanding of electrical theory, OSHA safety practices, and industrial environments
- Ability to work safely in high‑voltage, confined‑space, and elevated‑structure settings
